​Diswellstown Manor

​Ronan MacDiarmada & Associates Ltd were appointed as landscape architects for Diswellstown Manor, a 152-unit residential development in Castleknock, Co. Dublin. RMDA prepared a comprehensive landscape masterplan that integrated the site's existing period house, mature parkland trees, and walled gardens into the new development. Emphasising Fingal County Council’s principles of accessibility, green infrastructure, and sustainable design, the scheme retained and enhanced existing green assets to create a mature, character-rich environment. Key features include the transformation of a large detention basin into a usable amphitheatre space, extensive use of permeable paving in line with DMURS, and the development of distinct character areas that balance function with visual appeal. RMDA collaborated closely with the Parks & Heritage Department throughout the project to ensure compliance with best practice and to maintain the site’s historical integrity.
